About this space

"I just like writing," said Ludovic.
"In different ways about different things.
Nothing wrong with that, I suppose?"
~ Evelyn Waugh, The End of the Battle

My husband and I have bear nicknames for one another, so when trying to come up with a title for my new space "Coffee with Bears" simply seemed to work, and make us laugh. What better reason to choose a blog name? And what better goal? Grab a cup of coffee and sit with me as we talk as friends.

This life we live can be tricky and hard to maneuver. You can feel sure and right in the direction you are heading and suddenly feel upside down and turned around. I have gone through many seasons of both, and I'm currently learning to live wholly devoted to God. I'm learning what that means everyday.

"Love the Lord your God
with all your heart and with all your soul
and with all your mind and with all your strength."
Mark 12:30

And that's what I share here. How do we love God with all our heart, with all our soul, with all our mind, and with all our strength? God doesn't have a certain equation that will fit every day or every person, but there are truths to hold onto, lies to push through, steps we can take, and freedom to be found.

You can find posts here to encourage you in all aspects of your life, and some posts which are about working through doubts, questions, or fears. You can find posts here to remind you of Whose you are, and some posts that talk about what it means to walk that out. You can find posts here about what we get to do, want to do, need to do. You'll also find posts about every day events, highs, lows, busyness, and lessons learned. I'm sort of old school in my blogging style that way. But I love it, and hope you do to.
